My god, Pat Patterson!..Not You Too!!

Image
When Kentucky's season ended a few weeks back, and we hired Coach Callipari, I thought the outlook for next season looked good. But in the past week or two, Jodie Meeks announced his eligibilty for the draft (see, Jodie Noooooo!!) And today, Patrick Patterson has announced he is entering his name in the draft as well! This is horrible! Granted, neither player hired an agent, so they could easily return to school next season. However, what if they both decide to go? That could be devastating! Those are Kentucky's two best players as of now. I don't get why they would do that with Coach Calapari coming in. Maybe they just wanted to see if there was any money for them there, which I can understand, but as a fan, I can only imagine the worst. Hopefully, the both come back, but if not, hopefully they both get drafted to the Charlotte bobcats! They could use them! Hahaha...I'm out.

Mp3 vs. Cd's

So last night, I got on Zune marketplace, and I downloaded the new Jadakiss album, "The Last Kiss." Over the last few months, maybe since December when the Common album came out (which was available for 99 cents on Zune marketplace. Great deal!) I have been downloading my music (legally. I pay for it in microsoft points which typically run, $5 for 400, $15 for 1200 points, $25 for 2000 points, and so on.) Rather than rushing out to the store and buying a new cd. My reasons for doing this lately is because I can get the albums early Tuesday morning, and listen to it on the way to work, or at work, and not have to wait till my lunch break to go get the cd. It's just a more convenient thing. Sure, I loved going to the store on new release tuesday, and getting the hot new cd, ripping off the plastic wrapping, throwing it in the cd player, and jammin it. And while I jam it, I used to love reading the credits and who produced the record and all that jazz. Since december, I have

Jodie, Noooooooo!!!!

I am a die hard Kentucky fan. Even when they are having a rough season, I still support them in everything they do. I am, of course, from Kentucky. It's home for me. so the last few weeks have been very good. We fired coach Gillespie, and hired Coach Calipari. Things are looking good for next season. And I just was reading the other day that the big two players, Jodie Meeks, and Patrick Patterson, were excited about the possibilities of the upcoming season with the new coach. All this, and the fact that a couple of recruits from Memphis may follow coach Calipari to Kentucky, made things very exciting, and the outlook for next year was great!.....until today... Junior Guard, and star player of the team, Jodie Meeks declared himself for the NBA Draft. That is judt GREAT! The team showed this year that they can't play without him. If he's having a bad day, the team has a bad day. So to not have him on the team AT ALL, we're doomed! Well, maybe doomed... I don't want

Rest in Peace granny and granddaddy

Been a rough couple months. My mom's father passed away at the end of february. And now, last week, her mother. Pretty crazy how that happened. I can only imagine burying both of your parents back to back like that. I try to be strong, but when my grandfather passed, and my grandmother cried, it broke me down as well. The family handled my grandmother's funeral today a bit better, with the exception of my mother. But I guess my grandfather's funeral eased the load a bit. Either way, really tough month for my mom and her family. Not only that, but the memories, and everything associated with those two individuals are now gone. But as they say, when the big guy up above says it's time to come home, then you gotta go home. So I guess it's not a sad time, but more like a celebration. No more pain, no more suffering. They both gets to go home with god now. So with that being said, rest in peace to my grandparents. I love you both. And you will truely be missed.
