Can I Share My Opinions Please?

      I'm 31 years old, and up until about three months ago, I had lived my entire life in the United States of America. Sure, I've gone on a cruise outside of the country before, and I made a crazy trip to Tijuana back in 2004, but beyond those experiences, I'm American born and raised. When I left America in August, I was excited to be getting away because things in America seemed to be getting bad. Race tensions were rising, the presidential elections was dividing everyone, and I just wasn't really feeling the vibes as I left. However, as the time has passed, I realize that maybe leaving wasn't going to be as awesome as I expected.        Now, let's not get me wrong here. There's a lot to enjoy about Spain. I have really enjoyed the culture here and how friendly most people here are. A young 21 year old me, fresh from Basic Military Training, and currently in Tech School, rushing into the local store, and directly to the music section for the first new Jay Z album in 3 years, Kingdom Come. I had been anticipating it all day long, and probably didn’t pay much attention in class due to the excitement. ***** I’ve been listening to this album pretty consistently since it was released, and I’ve gone back and forth with the idea of writing a review for it. Not because I’m unsure of how to feel about the album, because I absolutely love it, but because it has been a few weeks, and there’s already plenty of reviews out there for it. I was honored to be asked to do it, because I'm not a big voice of the media, YouTube, Blogosphere, etc. So I appreciate someone watching my channel, or reading my thoughts here. So of course, I obliged.      The artist's name is Majilla, and she's an artist from Akron, Ohio. She's a very mysterious artist, as there aren't any pictures to be found of her, which shows her face or anything about her physical appearance. This is cool to me, as that makes things strictly about the music, similar to one of my favorite artists of all-time, MF DOOM.      I came to Oklahoma the first time when I was almost six years old, back in 1991. I completed the 2nd half of Kindergarten in Lawton, before moving to Kentucky for the first time. Fast forward 15 years to December of 2006, and I'm moving back to Oklahoma, this time to Tinker AFB. I was excited and really looking forward to beginning my life as an adult here in a new place outside of my comfort zone.    That trip back in 2006 changed my life. Within two years, I was married and had my first daughter on the way.  I bought my first house, and I met some life long friends as well, some of which I consider close to family. By the time March of 2010 came around, I was on my way out of the state, never to return again...... When I first was coming across the Strange Music camp, I felt as if Kaliko was a Spliff Starr type of dude, meaning he was more of a sidekick or hype man for Tech N9ne instead of a very well talented artist himself. Once I got further into Strange Music, I realized this guy can really spit pretty much as good as anybody on the roster. But, I’ve always felt that he was similar to Cee-Lo Green. Sure, the guy can rap, and rap better than most rappers in the game. But, I’ve always felt like his singing is what would make him a star. I’ve always really like Kaliko singing more than his rapping. And on his latest album, Go, Krizz Kaliko gives us a lot more of that singing that I feel he’s so great at, and the album is better off because of it. Upon first listen of Top of the Line, Rittz’s 3rd official album on Tech N9ne’s Strange Music record label, I said to myself, “Holy shit, this is going to be my first 5 star album review! That was amazing!” I usually try not to form too much of an opinion about a project until I’ve listened to it a few times, but after just one listen, I already knew this one was special. Every emotion that you can feel while listening to an album are present here, and that’s often not the case. Rittz even managed to have me a bit emotional at the end of the album (more on that later.) There is not a single bad song throughout this entire project. Not one! This is also very rare, especially over the course of 24 songs. But the real question I’ve been asking myself all week, and even still now is, is this album really a 5 star album?
